AREAS OF FOCUS

Our services are organized into five key areas aimed at enhancing family dynamics and community involvement:

  1. Women's Empowerment Groups

    • Facilitate personal growth and resilience among women in the community.

  2. Parent Support Groups: "Workforce Development Starting in the Home"

    • Enhance parenting skills through shared experiences and collaborative learning.

  3. Parents Assistance Centre

    • Provide resources and support for parents navigating challenges, particularly those new to Amarillo or whose first language is not English.

  4. Junior Youth Empowerment Program (ages 11-14)

    • This program creates an environment of thoughtful mutual support in which younger adolescents can develop the spiritual perception and patterns of thought and behavior that will characterize their behavior throughout adulthood. Based upon proactively building a sense of purposefulness, service, and dedication, the program has demonstrated outcomes in leadership and valuable life skills for successful community involvement.

  5. Youth Empowerment Opportunities Group (ages 15-22)

    • Mentorship and skill-building activities for older youth by helping them identify their potentialities, challenges, and how to navigate life when learning unique approaches to their circumstances.

      Our services and programs are in English and Spanish but are not limited to these languages.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT STARTING IN THE HOME

This program aims to create safe spaces for parents/guardians to discuss, learn, be coached, and provide feedback on their experiences implementing the tools to coach their children on learning life and soft skills that will enhance their self-esteem, and become mindful and service-oriented adults. This is not a religious space although we can talk about spirituality since it is part of our existence.

We intend to create united families and strengthen the connections between parents/guardians and their children as an example and a first place to practice how to interact in community life with compassion, effective communication, respect, and loving care among each other.

BRINGING FAMILIES TOGETHER

Providing opportunities for families to open their homes and creating spaces for parents to have difficult conversations about their struggles and how they can learn from each other’s experiences, serve together in their neighborhoods, create community by sharing, helping each other, and watching for each other needs provides a sense of joy, safety, and trustworthiness in the neighborhood, villages, towns, and cities.

CREATING SPACES FOR CONVERSATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY

Bringing together individuals, community groups, businesses, organizations, and institutions to consult on topics related to family education, the impact of women in the climate crisis, and how to connect with our children in meaningful ways are topics related to the immediate future of our society. Every aspect of our lives is interconnected, and the impact could be dramatically negative or drastically positive.
