AREAS OF FOCUS

Our services are organized into five key areas aimed at enhancing family dynamics and community involvement:

  1. Women's Empowerment Groups

    • Facilitate personal growth and resilience among women in the community.

  2. Parent Support Groups: "Workforce Development Starting in the Home"

    • Enhance parenting skills through shared experiences and collaborative learning.

  3. Parents Assistance Centre

    • Provide resources and support for parents navigating challenges, particularly those new to Amarillo or whose first language is not English.

  4. Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program (JYSEP)

    • The Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program (JYSEP) is a global educational initiative designed to nurture the intellectual and moral capacities of young people aged 11 to 15. Inspired by the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith but not a form of religious instruction, the program fosters qualities such as compassion, truthfulness, and excellence, alongside critical thinking, creativity, and scientific reasoning. JYSEP empowers junior youth to take charge of their personal growth, engage in meaningful acts of service, and contribute to the well-being of their communities.

  5. Youth Empowerment Opportunities Group (ages 15-22)

    • Mentorship and skill-building activities for older youth by helping them identify their potentialities, challenges, and how to navigate life when learning unique approaches to their circumstances.

      Our services and programs are in English and Spanish but are not limited to these languages.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT STARTING IN THE HOME

At MRCB, we believe that strong families are the heart of a thriving society. When families are united, communities flourish. That’s why we’ve created a safe and supportive space where parents and guardians can come together to learn, share, and grow—equipping themselves with the tools to raise confident, mindful, and service-oriented children.

Our program offers a transformative journey for parents and guardians, by providing opportunities to discuss real-life challenges, gain valuable insights, receive coaching, and exchange experiences on guiding their children toward personal and social success. Through practical tools and meaningful conversations, we focus on fostering life skills and self-esteem, empowering children to navigate the world with confidence and purpose.

While our space is not religious, we recognize the role of spirituality as part of the human experience and welcome open, respectful discussions on this topic.

Our ultimate goal? To build stronger families that inspire stronger communities. By nurturing compassion, communication, respect, and love at home, we create a ripple effect—helping children develop the essential skills to engage meaningfully with the world around them.

BRINGING FAMILIES TOGETHER

Providing opportunities for families to open their homes and creating spaces for parents to have difficult conversations about their struggles and how they can learn from each other’s experiences, serve together in their neighborhoods, create community by sharing, helping each other, and watching for each other needs provides a sense of joy, safety, and trustworthiness in the neighborhood, villages, towns, and cities.

CREATING SPACES FOR CONVERSATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY

Bringing together individuals, community groups, businesses, organizations, and institutions to consult on topics related to family education, the impact of women in the climate crisis, and how to connect with our children in meaningful ways are topics related to the immediate future of our society. Every aspect of our lives is interconnected, and the impact could be dramatically negative or drastically positive.
