We exist to provide people with the tools to maximize their opportunities to succeed in their personal, professional, and community lives.

Who was Martha Root?

Martha Louise Root was an American Baha’i Feminist, Peace Advocate, Author, and travel teacher who, in her late adult life, despite her poor health condition because of cancer in early 1909, went around the world four times spreading the teachings on universal peace, education, one universal language, and so many other topics concerning to the time she lived and so current to these days and the future of humanity. She is an example of how an educated woman can impact the minds and hearts of people from all backgrounds, including heads of state ( for example, Queen Marie from Romania), public figures, scholars, and members of all walks of life— traveling in such poor and dangerous conditions to all parts of the world with courage, determination, and faith.

We are Martha Root Community Building

Our mission is to empower underserved communities by equipping children with the tools, resources, and support needed to build a brighter future, starting this endeavor by providing their parents with the environment and knowledge to nurture their kids. We believe every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to succeed and realize their full potential. Our focus is on dismantling the societal barriers that limit access to education and opportunities, especially for marginalized communities disproportionately affected by systemic racism.

We provide vital resources—educational programs, mentorship, and access to technology—that enable children to push back against stereotypes, inequities, and societal norms that often hold them back. By fostering an environment of encouragement and growth, we instill in them the confidence that they have the same potential and opportunities as their peers to excel in school, career, and life.

Together, we are working to break the cycles of inequality, creating pathways for children to dream, achieve, and thrive—no matter their circumstances.

Our programs carry as core values spiritual qualities such as patience, love, integrity, truthfulness, loyalty, humbleness, hospitality, joy, radiance, hope, self-respect, and detached service.
